Shower maintenance is not difficult. One of the most common tasks you will have to do is to replace your shower head holder.
This is especially true if your bracket is made of plastic. The material can harden over time and become brittle, which can lead to cracking or splitting. It is not something you should delay. If the bracket fails to hold your showerhead, it can cause a very unpleasant shower experience.
These are available in a variety of sizes for all major manufacturers. We also stock universal shower head holders if the slider bracket is not available for your model. You can view our selection of slider brackets here.
Make sure to measure the length of the rail the bracket will be placed on before you place your order. The standard measurement is 18, 19, 22 or 25, but there is a lot of room for error. This can vary depending on how your shower is designed. Take your time and double-check what you have written.
How do you fit your bracket yourself after it's been delivered?
Remove the brackets that attach the rail to the wall, either the top or the bottom. You don't have to choose which bracket you want, but it may be that one is looser than the other. You should choose the bracket that makes life easier.
You will need to take off the cover in order to access the fixing screws. You will need to remove the cover depending on the model. However, they can be pulled off or twisted with a screwdriver, or you can use your fingers or a small screwdriver. You may not be able to see the screws on every model. Sometimes you will need to use force to get them off.
You will need to unscrew the bracket holding the shower head. First, remove the showerhead and hose.
Before attaching the bracket to the rail, make sure you have it correctly. You can do this by inserting the hose into the hole in the holder. You'll know you have it right if you can do this. It can be a hassle if you wait to do this.
Once everything is in place, you can slide the bracket back on. Next, insert the screw into the hole in the wall to tighten it up. After adjusting the cap, (sometimes it will click into place), move the shower head holder to the height you desire before fitting the head and hose.
